Sonja,
After
the recent cold front, I felt it appropriate to
officially announce winter at Get Crafty! It's
good news however, because while sitting snugly under my
blanket by the fireplace, I had the time to revamp our
popular website - go and have a look! The
structure is still very much the same, but a few
improvements have been made. In anticipation of
the warmer months, I'm cleaning house! Our
newsletter will contain standard sections from this
month, updating our readers on markets, new products,
and from next month I've added a feature where I'm going
to publish requests from crafters looking for supplies,
products or workshops in certain areas - at the end of
the day we want the crafter and the supplier to find
each other!

Scrapbooking Party -

Join us again at our very popular scrapbooking
party in Pretoria on the 7th of July 07. We will
have lots of scrapbooking supplies, more technique
demonstrations, warm soup and bread table and lots of

 Just wait till you
see what all I have lined up for you this week. But
first as promised last week, the inside of the
beautifully furnished Tudor Farm house from the private
collection of my Mom, Bev Immerman. Although still far
from finished I am sure you will agree this house is
just amazing. In a few weeks time I will bring you the
final pictures.
Marie's ground floor apartment has started taking
shape. I finally settled on an ivory colour for the

| Decoupage Project

Here are some varied ideas for new decoupage
projects. We've even included some children's projects
as well. BoxesBoxes provide
interesting results when done with decoupage. A variety
of boxes are available in craft stores. A box should be
given two or three thin coats of an oil based paint as a
base and at least three coats of varnish to finish. The
final coat can be rubbed with dampened emery cloth for a
fine, soft, matte finish. When lining a box with fabric,
put the seam at the front of the box. When the box is
opened, you can see the back "wall" of the box but not
the front one where the seam is.......... read

A card can be made easily after a short
practice in making tight rolls and then loose roll
shapes,  teardrops, marquise and bunny
ear shapes. Suitable for new quillers after practicing
the basic shapes according to methods shown on
here.
